The UP Mining Engineering Society (UP MINERS) is a non-stock, nonprofit, duly recognized organization of the UP College of Engineering. This organization aims to continually promote academic excellence and socio-civic advocacies by providing a venue for proactive and responsible mining through various relevant events and activities.
We believe in the power of community to foster growth and development. Since 2003, UP MINERS have remained steadfast in nurturing our Mining Engineering Majors, and creating a space to further Mining Engineering Education to the youth and the general public.
Promote academic excellence among its members and assist them in their pursuit of higher scholastic achievements.
Serve as a venue for the exchange of ideas and interests and development of camaraderie and cooperation among Mining Engineering majors
Organize projects and activities that shall assist and support its members in preparation of their professional career.

The BS Mining Engineering students of University of the Philippines – Diliman are comprised of dynamic and fruitful individuals who are ready to develop our mineral resources for the good of our country. Even though faced by many issues, they are striving hard to prove that mining can indeed be the way to go for the country.
